•               Social Studies Department Chair – Edmond North High School

•               Teacher of Government, Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) Government.  Increased by over ten times the number of students participating in the AP Government program over the last nine years.  Out of a senior class of 420, 84 students (twenty percent of the senior class) received a three or better in US Government and 36 students received a score of three or better in Comparative Government

•               Received over $72,000 in grant monies for AP courses at North High School since 97-98 school year

•               Served on Oklahoma Department of Education committees that wrote item specifications, edited test items and selected test items for the Oklahoma Eleventh Grade History and Government Criterion Referenced Test

•               Served on Oklahoma Commission for Teacher Preparation Committee that evaluated and approved the content knowledge test for entry year teachers

•               Served on Oklahoma Department of Education committees that reviewed AP grant requests

•               Served as a mentor for entry year teacher under Resident Teacher Program

•               Established after-school study group for students wishing to sit for AP World History Exam

•               Assisted in the development of proficiency testing for existing courses

•               Summer school teacher (Government and US History) for eight years

 

Co-Curricular

•               Head Academic Team Coach.  Qualified for and attended State Championship Tournament ten of the last eleven years.  State Champion for 2004 and 2000. One second place and four previous third place finishes

•               Assistant Boys and Girls Tennis Coach.  Three time state champion, Four time runner-up

•               Oklahoma Class B Commercial Driver's License, Passenger Endorsement, School Bus Driver's Certificate

 

Technology

•               Member of site technology committee, which develops and implements site technology plan.  Also responsible for evaluation and approval of individual technology requests

•               Assistant Win School Sys-op (school information management program)

•               Responsible for routine maintenance and upgrades on classroom computers

•               National presenter of content and pedagogical information on AP Government at one and two day seminars
